The easy pick. A mellow beach and river-mouth setup in a real town: rentals, schools, restaurants, nightlife, all walkable. Suits first-timers through improvers. Flat spells still leave you a town.

Nosara's wave. A long, consistent beach break that catches more swell than Tamarindo and rewards surfers past the whitewater stage. The town is quieter, wellness-flavored, spread through the jungle. Days run on the tides.
