Surfguide für Mundaka
Die Welle. Mundaka ist eine Linke, die über eine dreieckige Sandbank an der Mündung des Urdaibai-Ästuars läuft, mitten in einem UNESCO-Biosphärenreservat. Die Ritte sind 150 bis 300 Meter lang, und früher war die Welle ein Stopp der World Championship Tour. Ausbaggerungen im Ästuar veränderten die Sandbank, und die Welle verschwand fast, doch inzwischen hat die Sandbank ihre ursprüngliche Form zurück.
Für wen es passt. Der Spot ist etwas für Fortgeschrittene bis Experten, die mit einer schnellen, hohlen Linken und einer starken Strömung klarkommen. Anfänger sollten an den Stränden in der Nähe bleiben.
