When to go

Open all year, with an annual maintenance closure (23 February to 29 March in 2026). Winter hours run Wednesday to Sunday only.

Boards, wetsuits and lessons

Kids, First-Timer and Rookie sessions include a softboard and wetsuit. Other levels pay €20 for a softboard and €10 for a wetsuit.

Coached lessons run 115 minutes with a 55-minute water slot, at most 7 surfers per coach.

Book online at booking.surftown.de. Kids sessions are for ages 6 to 10, and Intermediate and above expect independent surfing.

Getting there and where to stay

MUC is roughly 40 minutes away and is a major European hub, so this is one of the easiest pools to reach on a cheap fare.

• The park is in Hallbergmoos, next to Munich Airport, not in central Munich.
• Sessions from Intermediate up do not include a board, so bring your own or rent one.
• Winter kit (hat, boots, gloves) rents for €10 a day, and helmets are free.
• The pool is 180 m long and makes waves up to 2.2 m high.
