Which one for your dates
- Apr–Sep: both are off, smaller and less reliable, often fine for a lesson.
- Oct: Imsouane. It is at its best, and Taghazout is off.
- Nov–Mar: both are at their best, so the town and the wave decide.
The two waves
Anchor Point (Taghazout)
Morocco's best-known right point, at the north end of Taghazout: long walls on a winter northwest swell. The village is the country's busiest surf base, with surf camps and more breaks along the coast road.
Imsouane (The Bay)
A long, mellow right that wraps into a fishing-village bay, one of the longest rides in Morocco and a favorite with longboarders. The village is small and quiet.
