Lower Trestles surf guide
The wave. Lower Trestles is a peak that breaks left and right over rock and cobblestones in San Onofre State Beach, just south of San Clemente. The right is the long wall for linking turns, and the left is the more versatile wave. Lowers hosted World Tour events for many years, and it will host surfing at the 2028 Olympic Games.
Who it suits. Lowers suits intermediate surfers and pros. Summer weekends and evenings are the most crowded times.
