Size limit stated as 115 linear inches / 292 cm (Rule 18 uses Outside Linear Dimension = L+W+H, effective 8 Jan 2025), so pure-length max_length_cm left null. Board Items over 50 lb (23 kg) incur overweight fees. Must be packed in a proper case; packing materials not available at check-in. Hawaiian is now part of Alaska Air Group; the Alaska newsroom (Nov 2025) states boards up to 10 ft 5 in nose-to-tail accepted on standard aircraft, 9 ft 7 in max on regional E175. Huaka'i by Hawaiian members (Hawaii residents) get one free checked bag, which may be a surfboard, on Neighbor Island flights.
